Welcome to Tanzania!
Land of safaris, Mt Kilimanjaro, and the place we have chosen to spend the next period of our life!
Follow me and my wife Yuki as we experience this massive change to our lives. Watch and see if it all falls apart, or if we make a go of it.
Duncan Drury
That’s me. I was born in 1975 near Milton Keynes, spent my formative years in Brampton, Cumbria, wherre the whole Tanzanian connection began with the William Howard School Tanzanian Link. I visited Uru Secondary School twice, in 1991 and 1993, and have dreamt of returning ever since.
I studied Anthropology at UCL, and did field work in Ethiopia in 1996. Since finishing college I have worked at a variety of places, and got into IT, like so many others.

She’s my wife. I met her whilst studying at UCL. She is from Texas, USA. She moved to London in 1999, and we got married in October 2000. She also studied Anthropology. She worked in PR, but got enamoured enough to follow me to Africa.
