I have three traffic cones that require a loving environment in which to flourish. They work well with any musical ensemble but can create stirring solo pieces. The also add considerable weight to any argument, particularly when the exclaimation “euurrgh” is used. Humourless people not welcome.

Evil Child

This for me was the stand out piece of the exhibit. It was the largest, and the artist had decided not to sell the piece for the £100 that most other things were going for.

Fair enough.

Such a striking picture surely would go for more. I’d have considered buying it for 100 quid.

Not that I have any money right now…

Art Fart

Last night went to the opening of an exhibition in which my cousin Catriona had a piece of work – the first picture on the right.

It was filled with arty types and the rhubarb rhubarb that always accompanies such shows. Bumped into Catriona’s friend Constanze and hob nobbed with some art types, and my sister and some of her art college peeps.

The exhibition was based on the idea of mail art, which means sending things by post and that being part of the art. Not sure all the artists got it, and those that most clearly did (i.e. they had done paintings on envelopes and mailed them) somehow didn’t get much across.

Recruitment

Funny how you answer one (or perhaps two) job adverts that turn out to be placed by recruitment agents and then the calls start coming in from them. Are they all connnected together with a single database?

Reminds me about the rumours of the massive shared kitchen beneath china town.

Yuki and Jen enjoying the warm sea water as the sun sets.

Shame about the bloody massive cruise ship. Ah well never mind.

Pelican Boat

A boat with many large pelicans.

I wonder if they realise that if they stay on the boat they can keep it. Who would dare try to chase this bunch off?

I feel pale

How pale can I possibly look. Ah well. I feel tanned.

I did burn.

The hat proved to be a talking point with a french guy…

I guess these guys can’t swim. The water wasn’t very deep, but they were taking no chances whatsoever…
