This is the first shopkeeper. The other shopkeeper told me one day that he had gone to Moshi to be circumcised. I asked him if he wasn’t a bit old to be circumcised, and the other shopkeeper said that he had gone in secret. We joked that he would be walking funny when he got back.
A couple of days later I went back. The other shop keeper was very embarrassed, since it turned out someone had told him Gabriel hadn’t been circumcised as a joke. He had just gone home to visit his folks.
